Glasgow theatre to reveal the lives of Laurel and Hardy

Comedy fans planning to stay in Glasgow hostels may be interested in finding out about the lives of Laurel and Hardy.

The Citizens Theatre is set to hold a production entitled Laurel and Hardy which takes an "affectionate" look at the lives of the comedy duo.

Running between April 27th and 30th, adult tickets for the production cost between £10 and £17.50.

Attendees will enjoy some of Laurel and Hardy's finest routines, dances, musical numbers and songs.

A statement from the theatre said: "This play lifts the bowler hats off these two charming and very funny men to look at their lives and loves, giving fascinating insights into their off-screen relationships and their personal joys and heartaches.

"This was Scottish poet and playwright Tom McGrath's first play and endures as one of his finest."

Laurel and Hardy first worked together on the film The Lucky Dog, in which Stan plays a penniless dog lover and Oliver plays a crook who tries to rob him.
