Judas Priest set for Newcastle stage

Judas Priest fans could stay in city centre accommodation in Newcastle after seeing the band rock out in the city.

The English heavy metal band will be playing in the Metro Radio Arena on July 20th and tickets for the concert cost £36 excluding the booking fee.

Formed in 1968, Judas Priest got their name from the Bob Dylan song The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest.

Fans of the rockers may be treated to classic hits such as Metal Gods, Victim of Changes, Breaking the Law and You've Got Another Thing Coming.

They may also hear songs from the band's last studio album, Nostradamus, which is a concept album about the French 16th century prophet.

Speaking about the album in an interview with MTV in 2006, Rob Halford said: "Nostradamus is all about metal, isn't he?

"There'll be a lot of symphonic elements. We might orchestrate it, without it being overblown. There may be a massive choir at parts and keyboards will be featured more prominently, whereas they've always been in the background before."
