Noah and the Whale to play in Edinburgh

Hostels in Edinburgh could prove ideal for those planning to see Noah and the Whale play in the city.

The band is set to perform in the Liquid Room on May 5th and tickets for the event cost £13.50.

Charlie Fink, a member of Noah and the Whale, recently spoke to the Daily Star about the band's new sound.

He told the news provider: "Some people have ¬compared the new sound to a John Hughes movie and we were definitely trying to capture that uplifting sound.

"I wanted those punch-the-air moments."

Fink added that for Life Goes On, the band's first single from their new album Last Night on Earth, they were driving and listening to Bruce Springsteen's Badlands.

He explained that everyone was singing along to the chorus and he wanted to recreate "big choruses" like that.

Last Night on Earth was released on March 7th. Life Goes On reached number 14 on the UK singles chart.
