Jekyll and Hyde set for Glasgow stage

People staying in city centre accommodation in Glasgow may enjoy attending a production of Jekyll and Hyde.

The show will be taking place at the King's Theatre between June 13th and 18th.

Marti Pellow, the frontman of Wet Wet Wet, will be starring in the new production of the hit Broadway musical.

A statement from the theatre said: "Jekyll And Hyde is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic gothic novella with book and lyrics by the Academy Award-winning composer Leslie Bricusse.

"Pellow stars as the brilliant but obsessive scientist whose sadistic alter ego wreaks havoc across Victorian London in this dark tale of love, redemption and the seductive power of evil."

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo about the forthcoming production, Pellow revealed what drew him to the role.

He told the news provider that, other than being a Gothic masterpiece, he enjoyed the journey of going from good to bad and being able to play both parts.
