Glasgow Science Centre to host new exhibition
Science fans who are planning to stay in Glasgow hostels may like to attend a new exhibition being held at the science centre.
The Glasgow Science Centre has secured funding for a new exhibition from the Wellcome Trust and drugs manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline.
BodyWorks is the name of the new exhibition and it will look at the science behind human health. It is due to open in 2012.
The centre has received £90,000 in funding, which will go towards creating a hands-on and interactive exhibition.
Clare Matterson, director of Medical Humanities and Engagement at the Wellcome Trust, said: "BodyWorks will bring visitors face-to-face with some of the most exciting science taking place in Scotland today.
"We are proud to have supported Glasgow Science Centre for over a decade and it is rewarding to see that the centre continues to inspire its visitors with innovative new exhibitions."
The Wellcome Trust was one of the founders of the Glasgow Science Centre when it opened in 2001.
