VisitArran hosting celebration in Glasgow's St George Square

Culture-lovers who are planning to stay in hostels in Glasgow may enjoy sampling some food and drink from Arran.

VisitArran is hosting a celebration on St George Square in Glasgow on May 14th and 15th.

Arran in the Square offers visitors the opportunity to watch chefs cooking with food and drink from Arran. They will also be able to sample the produce and learn about the island.

A statement from Scotland Food and Drink said: "As well as food and drink from Taste of Arran, there will be lots going on to delight the senses and keep the whole family happy, while Radio Clyde will be on hand to keep the party going."

People will be able to try rock climbing, play a hole of golf, relax with an Arran Aromatics massage and visit the art exhibition.

There will also be a number of competitions taking place. Prizes include all-expenses paid short breaks to Arran.

The Isle of Arran is one of the most southerly Scottish islands.
