Anvil to play in Newcastle

Hostels in Newcastle could be the perfect option for rock fans planning to see Anvil play in the city.

The band will be playing in the O2 Academy Newcastle on June 24th and tickets for the event cost £13.50 excluding the booking fee.

Originally started in 1973 by Steve 'Lips' Kudlow and Robb Reiner, Anvil has released 13 studio albums to date.

The band is now getting set to release their latest album Juggernaut of Justice. It is estimated that this will be out in May 2011.

Rock fans who do plan to attend the forthcoming Newcastle show may like to learn a little more about the band beforehand by watching a documentary made about them.

Anvil! The Story of Anvil was directed by Sacha Gervasi and followed the band as they set about recording This is Thirteen.

The film gained widespread critical acclaim and brought renewed recognition to the band.
