"The guide reinforces Glasgow's reputation as a friendly and fun city with internationally renowned museums and galleries; unique style and design credentials as well as a cutting-edge arts and music scene."
According to the guide, the city is also the best place to eat despite not having any Michelin-starred restaurants.
Lonely Planet was founded in 1972. It has since become the world's largest travel guide book and digital media publisher.
