Framing Hanley playing in Newcastle

Music lovers may wish to book into Newcastle hostels if they're planning to catch Framing Hanley later this month.

The US alternative band will be playing at the O2 Academy Newcastle on May 27th, in support of their latest album, A Promise to Burn.

Best known for their songs Hear Me Now and Lollipop, a cover of the song by rapper Lil Wayne, Framing Hanley rose to prominence with the release of their first album, The Moment, in 2007.

Since then, they have built up an impressive following on both sides of the Atlantic.

The post-hardcore five-piece from Nashville, Tennessee, have already released three singles from their latest LP; You Stupid Girl, Back to Go Again and WarZone.

In an interview with alternativeaddiction.com, lead singer Kenneth Nixon said of A Promise to Burn: "The album tells a story that a lot of us have been through, where you have to have everything taken away from you before you can be humbled and know how lucky you are, it's sad that it's like that, but it's true in a lot of people's cases."

They will also be playing at the O2 ABC in Glasgow and the Electric Ballroom in London on the UK leg of their latest tour.
