Dylan Moran to perform stand up in Glasgow

Comedy fans may be in need of city centre accommodation in Glasgow after seeing Dylan Moran perform stand-up in the city.

The funnyman will be making audiences laugh in the Pavilion Theatre on June 19th and adult tickets for the event cost £23.

Moran, who was voted the 14th greatest stand-up comedian by Channel 4 in 2010, is perhaps most famous for the TV sitcom Black Books, which he co-wrote with fellow comedian Simon Pegg.

During his career he has received a number of accolades for his comedy, including the So You Think You're Funny? award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1993.

A recent review in the Yorkshire Evening Post of one of his stand-up gigs held in Bradford branded Moran's wit as "sharp as a harpy's talon".

The reviewer, Sally Hall, wrote: "Fully embracing this paradox to its 'mreast' (Dylan objects to being told he has 'moobs'), Yeah Yeah was at times side-achingly funny, full of sparky discourse and whimsical vocabulary, and all in all the best stand-up act this reviewer has seen in ages."
