Edinburgh to welcome Fleet Foxes

Fans of the Fleet Foxes may want to book city centre accommodation in Edinburgh as the band will be playing there later this year.

The Oregon-based folk band will be performing at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on June 29th and tickets will set fans back £21.50 excluding the booking fee.

Those who get tickets to the event may well be treated to tracks from the bands recently released second album, Helplessness Blues, which came out in May.

They may also hear tunes from the band's self-titled debut album, such as White Winter Hymnal and Mykonos.

A recent review of the band in the Guardian by Kitty Empire, said:"Helplessness Blues" sits a little awkwardly in the middle of the album track-listing, totally eclipsing the latter half of the record.

"It comes into its rightful place as the Fleet Foxes' set closer, practically pelting the crowd with reasons why this band are terrific. The song grows from humble beginnings - just Pecknold and his guitar - into an existential anthem."
