The Kooks to play in Newcastle

Fans of Brit band The Kooks may want to stay in city centre accommodation in Newcastle after seeing the group perform in the city.

The Kooks will be playing at the O2 Academy Newcastle on October 3rd as part of a nine date tour. Tickets for the event cost £22.50 without the booking fee.

Those attending this forthcoming concert may well hear well known songs by the band, such as Naive, She Moves in Her Own Way and Ooh La.

They may also be treated to tracks from their forthcoming album, Junk of Heart, which is due to be released on September 12th.

Luke Pritchard, the singer and guitarist, told fans that the album had been finished on his Twitter account.

On April 8th, he tweeted: "We have officially finished recording the record! had a great last few days and we're all well happy with it and we can't wait to get it out."
