Glasgow preparing for George Best musical

Football fans may like to stay in hostels in Glasgow after seeing a musical about George Best's life.

Dancing Shoes - The George Best Story will be running at The Pavilion in the city between September 13th and 17th.

Ticket prices for the event vary according to which performance is attended, but are priced between £15 and £19.50.

The show is going to Glasgow following its sell-out run at the Belfast Grand Opera House.

A statement from the theatre said: "Dancing Shoes - The George Best Story, tells of the turbulent and amazing life of one of the greatest footballers the world has ever seen.

"Dancing Shoes is packed with great characters, beautiful songs and trademark Belfast humour."

The musical was written by Glasgow's JJ Gilmour and Pat Gribben from Belfast, as well as Marie Jones and Martin Lynch, who are two of Northern Ireland's most popular playwrights.

George Best originated from Belfast and was best known for playing for Manchester United and Northern Ireland's national team.
