Edinburgh playhouse to welcome Swan Lake
Ballet fans may want to book city centre accommodation in Edinburgh so they have somewhere to stay after seeing Swan Lake performed there.
The Russian State Ballet of Siberia will be performing Swan Lake between March 7th and 9th next year at the Edinburgh Playhouse.
Tickets for the event cost £15.75 including the booking fee.
Swan Lake tells the tale of Odette, a princess transformed into a swan by an evil sorcerer's curse. It was originally composed between 1875 and 1866.
A theatre statement said: "The greatest romantic ballet of all! This is an immortal love story filled with magic, emotion and beauty.
"From the opulence and splendour of the magnificent court room to the exhilarating lake scenes where swans play in perfect formation, Tchaikovsky's hauntingly beautiful music creates a truly unforgettable experience."
The Russian State Ballet of Siberia was established in 1978 by graduates of the choreographic schools of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg.
