Moscow State Circus heading to Edinburgh

Hostels in Edinburgh could prove popular with people looking to check out the Moscow State Circus.

The troupe's Babushkin Sekret will be being performed at the Ocean Terminal on a number of dates between August 9th and 21st.

Tickets for the event cost between £10 and £28 depending on where you sit and concession prices are available.

Babushkin Sekret is inspired by the legend of the 12 chairs. Set in Soviet Russia in 1927, a desk clerk discovers his family jewellery has been hidden in one of the 12 chairs from the family's dining room set, but the chairs had been expropriated by the government after the Russian revolution.

A statement from the Moscow State Circus said: "The desk clerk, played by Valerik, & his sidekick Valik, become treasure hunters , and the Bolsheviks try to track down the chairs. The two 'comrades' find the chair set which is put out to the auction, but fail to buy it and afterwards find out that the set has been split up and sold individually."
