Horrors to play in Newcastle

Fans of the Horrors may like to stay in hostels in Newcastle after seeing the band perform in the city.

The South End on Sea-based band will be playing at Digital Newcastle on October 18th. Tickets for the event cost £12 without the booking fee.

Those attending the Newcastle gig may well be treated to tracks from the band's earlier albums, Primary Colours and Strange House, which were released in 2009 and 2007 respectively.

They will also hear tunes from the Horrors' new album, Skyling, which features tracks such as Still Life, Moving Further Away and I Can See Through You.

A review of the new album in NME said: "Skying may be more inconsistent than Primary Colours, which was a record that you could call a modern classic without too much of a stretch.

"But that isn't a failure, it's just further proof of The Horrors' overarching ambition - that they’re one of this generation’s most important bands."
