Wheatus to play in Newcastle

Pop fans who are planning to stay in Newcastle hostels may enjoy going to see Wheatus play in the city during their trip.

The band will be performing at Legends in Newcastle on September 17th and tickets will set fans back just £10.

Although Wheatus have not released a studio album since 2005, they released an EP entitled Pop, Songs & Death: Vol. 2 the Jupiter EP in December last year.

Those attending may well be treated to newer work by the band, but they may also hear hits from their back catalogue, such as Teenage Dirtbag and A Little Respect.

Wheatus frontman Brendan Brown recently spoke to themotiononline.co.uk about the documentary of the band, which is set for release later this year.

He said: "I'm really a bit nervous about all this. When AD Lane came to us to propose the film I had a sense of cautious optimism, figuring he'd be like others who've wanted access but not really been in for the long haul … But he proved me quite wrong."
