The Pigeon Detectives set for Newcastle gig

Music fans getting set to stay in hostels in Newcastle could see The Pigeon Detectives as part of their trip.

The band will be playing at the O2 Academy Newcastle on November 6th and tickets for the event cost £15 excluding the booking fee.

Fans may be treated to hits from the band's back catalogue, such as I Found Out, Take Her Back and This is an Emergency.

They will also be performing songs from their latest album, Up, Guards And At 'Em, which was released on April 4th and includes the tracks She Wants Me and Done in Secret.

In an interview with the Yorkshire Post earlier this year, frontman Matt Bowman spoke about the band's work ethic.

He told the news provider: "We work as hard now as we did with our first record. If anything we are more hungry and we have more of a point to prove because there are a lot of new bands coming through and we perhaps don’t get written about in the NME in the same way we used to."
