Glasgow set to reveal the Eyes of the Street

Photography fans who are planning to stay in Glasgow hostels over the coming weeks may want to check out an exhibition that documents life on the city's streets.

Eyes on the Streets opened at the Mitchell Library Granville Street Foyer on July 22nd and it will remain there until August 31st.

The photography exhibition shows the lives of homeless people in Glasgow.

It has been organised by the International Network of Street Papers and features images taken by Big Issue vendors and professionals from Photographers for Hope.

The exhibit also has photographs taken by legendary US photographer David Burnett.

Burnett said: "We're working with the vendors so they can show what their lives are like, using photography as a tool to do that.

"It's exciting. It's about giving people who haven't had much experience of photography the chance to see if it's something that clicks a button for them. We're trying to open people up to photography."
