Deep Purple ready for Glasgow gig
Deep Purple fans may be in need of city centre accommodation in Glasgow as the band is set to perform there in November.
The Smoke on the Water musicians will be playing at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre on November 29th and tickets cost £45.
The band will be playing hits with a 38-piece orchestra for the gig, which is part of the Deep Purple: The Songs That Built Rock tour.
Steve Morse, guitarist in the band, recently told the Star Ledger about playing with the orchestra and how it affects the sound.
He told the news provider: "This one isn't going to be orchestra-based so much as: It's the rock band Deep Purple playing, with strings and horns being added for some colour textures.
"The basic idea of the show is: We're doing what we do and having more texture where it's appropriate."
He added that they are not going to change the songs, just add some "cameos and features".
