Metronomy to bring electronic sound to Glasgow

Hostels in Glasgow may be perfect for music fans heading to the city to see Metronomy play.

The electronic band will be playing at the Oran Mor on September 23rd and tickets for the show cost £11 without the booking fee.

Fans will no doubt be treated to tracks from the band's new album, The English Riviera, which was released in April this year. Songs from the new album include Everything Goes My Way and She Wants.

Joe Mount, who started the band in 1999, recently spoke about being nominated for the Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize.

Speaking to spinner.com, he said: "It's kind of perfect for a group like us, because we are kind of bubbling about the place and it offers a chance maybe to push us up a little bit. We're not even thinking 'C'mon, lets win it' - just being nominated is a real exciting thing. And we're going to go to an awards ceremony!"
