Sea Works go on show at Newcastle gallery

Art lovers staying in Newcastle hostels may like to check out a new exhibition about the seaside.

Sea Works by Paul Kenny is a free exhibition that opened at the Sandford Goudie Gallery at the Customs House on August 13th and it will run until October 2nd.

The exhibition has been developed over 35 years and consists of photos of natural elements often missed by people.

Esen Kaya, Customs House visual arts curator, told the Shields Gazette: "Paul's work fascinated me when I first saw it over 12 years ago, so it's wonderful to be able to show his work at The Customs House.

"As a gallery close to the seashore, it is the ideal subject matter to exhibit and the work itself is both stunning and beautiful."

Mr Kenny added that this is his first major show in the North East and he is happy to be showing in a gallery that is accessible to a wide audience.
