Glasgow aims for Curry Capital award
Curry fans who are planning to stay in hostels in Glasgow may like to sample some of the city's Indian cuisine offerings.
This is because the city is bidding for the Curry Capital award for the fifth year in a row, according to STV.
The four restaurants Glasgow hostel guests may like to try out are the Slum Dog, Neelim, Kama Sutra and Koolba, as these have been selected as the eateries that will be representing the city in the competition.
Glasgow is one of 17 cities or local authorities up for the award, which is part of the 13th annual National Curry Week, which is sponsored by Cobra Beer.
The Curry Capital of Britain award was first created in 1999 by Peter & Colleen Grove, who are co-editors of The Real Curry Restaurant Guide.
National Curry Week will take place between October 9th and 15th. It aims to raise funds for The Curry Tree Charitable Fund.
