Kasabian set to rock Glasgow

Kasabian fans may like to stay in city centre accommodation in Glasgow and make a weekend of seeing the band perform.

The Empire rockers will be playing at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre on December 11th.

Frontman Tom Meighan recently spoke about music talent contests such as the X Factor.

He said: "It's just really tragic''.

"It's not about singing, it's about TV. You get the contestants who are all, like, drooling. Pathetic isn't it? The egos are awful. Awful!"

Tickets for the Glasgow gig cost £30 without the booking fee.

Kasabian are due to release their fourth album, Velociraptor!, on September 16th.

It features Switchblade Smiles, Let's Roll Like We Used To and Days Are Forgotten, which will be released as a single in the UK this weekend (September 11th).

Since forming in 1999, the band has achieved a number of accolades, including the Best Live Band award at the 2007 NME Awards, and the Best Act In The World Today award at last year's Q Awards.
