Newcastle nightlife app being developed

Party lovers who are planning to stay in city centre accommodation in Newcastle may find a nightlife app comes in handy.

NightOutGroup has developed an application so iPhone, Blackberry and Android users can find out about the city's nightly goings on, reports nebusiness.co.uk.

At present, the app includes 151 venues in Newcastle, with around 400 in the North East in total.

Del Greco, from the company, told the news provider: "We think we’ve got nearly every single bar in Newcastle now. If you download the app, you can either view every venue or event on a map, or you can see the next 25 events happening in the area from that point in time."

He added that there will be another update in a few weeks time that will offer those seeking nightlife in Newcastle information on happy hours and photos of the venues.

Explaining the thinking behind the app development, Mr Greco said the app offers people the chance to discover a night out that is more suited to their tastes.
