Staind heading to Glasgow for gig

Rock band Staind may attract fans to city centre accommodation in Glasgow when they play there later this year.

The band, which formed in Massachusetts in 1995, will be performing at the Glasgow Garage on October 6th.

Fans can pick up tickets for £18.50 without the booking fee for the tour, which is being held to promote their new album, Staind, that is due to be released on September 13th.

Those attending will no doubt recognise some of the songs on the new album, as several tracks have already been released.

The Bottom featured on the Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack, while Eyes Wide Open, Not Again and Paper Wings have all been released over July and August.

Staind recently announced that they will be performing a special performance on September 15th to benefit families of the 9/11 victims.

Frontman Aaron Lewis said: "We are deliberately making the ticket price $9.11 (£5.74) to underscore the point that if enough of us do just a little bit, together we can make a big difference in the lives of the families who's members made the supreme sacrifice for our country."
