Contemporary art lovers staying in Newcastle hostels in for a treat
A new exhibition of aerosol poetry is guaranteed to please creative minds staying in hostels in Newcastle.
Hosted by Unit 44, 'A Decade of Aerosol Poetry' by Laser 3.14 will be the first show of the Amsterdam artist's work in the north-east.
For over a decade, Laser has been writing brief lines of spray-painted poetry on boarded-up places in the Dutch capital, turning temporary plywood boardings into his own personal notebook.
Author of a book titled 'Are You Reading Me', Laser brings to Newcastle an exhibition of ten prints of his most iconic work along with a range of original works made with mixed media.
The exhibition runs from September 29th to November 1st in the Unit 44 gallery and studio.
Housed on the edge of the city, Unit 44 is part of Hoults Yard, a former industrial firm that recently re-developed itself into a hive of local creative media businesses.
For more information visit the Unit 44 website.
