Live Theatre brings political comedy back to the stage

The Live Theatre is presenting a return production of A Walk On Part, the witty play about New Labour that may be just the ticket for Newcastle hostel guests looking for theatrical entertainment.

Based on the diaries of former MP Chris Mullin, A Walk On Part: The Fall of New Labour is a hilarious satire that brings his irreverent take on Westminster politics to the stage.

Some critics have gone as far as to say that the play – adapted from Mullin's diaries by playwright Michael Chaplin – represents the most accurate insight into life during the Blair-Brown years.

Having made a brief appearance at Live during the summer, the play returns before it heads to London's Soho for an extended run.

This is the perfect opportunity to catch the production in the delightful environment of the Live Theatre, a wonderfully informal venue on the bank of the River Tyne.

A Walk On Part: The Fall of New Labour runs from Tuesday October 25th until Saturday November 12th. Performance times vary and tickets cost between £10 and £18.
