Tasty morsels on offer at weekly farmers' market
A weekly farmers' market offers visitors staying in hostels in Edinburgh the perfect opportunity to pick up some unique gifts for their friends and family.
The Out of the Blue indoor market happens every Saturday between 10am and 2pm and acts as a showcase for wonderful produce sourced no further than 100 miles away from Edinburgh.
Managed by Greener Monday, the market brings a huge array of locally sourced fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meat, eggs, jam and cakes.
Much of the produce is organic and the ethical market, with its hustle and bustle, is a lively and friendly place to spend a Saturday morning.
The market is hosted by Out of the Blue, a cultural community of 73 artists and creative industries who operate in Drill Hall on Dalmeny Street.
The lively hall hosts the market every Saturday and also has its own licensed art cafe, perfect to relax with a cuppa after browsing the food stalls.
For more details and to see the full list of stalls, visit the Out of the Blue website.
