The Young Knives sharpening themselves for Edinburgh gig

People staying in hostels in Edinburgh on the lookout for live music will be pleased to hear that acclaimed band The Young Knives are playing at the city's Electric Circus.

The three-piece Leicestershire-based group are equally as renowned for their energetic performances as they are for their tweed fashion.

Receiving plaudits since the release of their single, The Decision, in 2005, The Young Knives were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2007 and have never looked back.

Following a debut mini-album and their first full-length LP, Voices Of Animals, their third album, Ornaments From The Silver Arcade was released in April.

They visit Edinburgh on the back of a brand new single release which fans may be lucky enough to buy and get signed at the gig.

The Young Knives play at Electric Circus, Market Street, on Sunday October 23rd. Doors open at 7pm and tickets cost £10. The gig is an over-16s event.
