New exhibition at Glasgow Centre for Contemporary Arts

A new exhibition that explores systems of thought and reality in a playful manner is providing people staying in city centre accommodation in Glasgow with much food for thought.

Warp and Woof: Anna Barham & Bea McMahon brings the two artists together in an exhibition for the first time through a range of new commissions and previous work specially chosen for display, at the Glasgow Centre for Contemporary Arts.

Both artists share an affinity for ideas surrounding human thought and concepts of reality, meaning their complementary works tune into one another for this challenging collaborative exhibition.

McMahon, a former mathematics and physic student turned artist employs video and drawing to examine the relationship that exists between our inner life and the reality of the world outside.

Barham meanwhile works with various media, including sculpture, performance, video and drawing to look at the paradoxes of freedom.

Warp and Woof is exhibited at the Glasgow Centre for Contemporary Arts until Saturday November 19th. Entrance is free and the gallery is open from 11am until 6pm.
