The Big Society is live at Newcastle theatre

Visitors staying in city centre accommodation in Newcastle can let off steam at the city's Live Theatre, when a debate on the Big Society kicks off in November.

Bringing the Big Society to the small stage, the event invites people of any political leaning who are fed up with political soundbites and spin-doctoring to come down for a unique party conference.

The emphasis will be more on the party than the conference however, as some of the theatre's resident writers tackle the key issues surrounding the Big Society with plenty of humour.

The audience can expect satire and a fair sprinkling of "righteous indignation" as the debate gets underway into the hotly-contested policy.

Nestled on Newcastle's iconic Quayside, the Live Theatre is a great venue for people looking to get a handle on what makes the city tick and the Big Society event is the perfect example of shows it runs.

The Big Society in Live's Studio Theatre happens on Thursday 11th and Friday November 12th from 8pm. Tickets are £8 or £6 for concessions and the show last around two hours including an interval.
