Chili Peppers rock up at the Stadium of Light
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers are bringing their fiery show to one of the biggest stadiums in the country as fans book hostels in Newcastle for the Stadium of Light concert.
Undoubtedly one of the greatest ever rock bands, the Chillis have sold over 60 million albums, have had five multi-platinum records and have six Grammys sitting on their palatial mantel pieces.
Now, the American rockers have scheduled two stadium dates for 2012, the only shows they will perform in UK next year.
Heading to Sunderland Athletic Football Club's Stadium of Light, the last time that Flea, Kiedis and the rest of the Chili Peppers played in the north-east was over 20 years ago in a 400 capacity venue in Newcastle which no longer exists.
Hostels in Newcastle are ideally placed for concert-goers, with the stadium just a few Metro stops away from the city centre.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers play at the Stadium of Light on Sunday June 24th. Tickets are on sale now priced at £45.
