Wiley takes the underground to Edinburgh

The underground legend that is Wiley is strapping in and rolling deep for a tour that will take in a show at the HMV Picturehouse as fans head to Edinburgh hostels.

At the fore of UK music development for more than 15 years, Wiley has been a pioneer of the underground scene since his early days.

While popular fame came his way with chart hits like 'Wearing My Rolex' and 'Cash In My Pocket', it was his work at pirate radio stations and his low-key productions which catapulted him to prominence in the first place.

The Roll Deep collaboration with Dizzee Rascal and others was just one project that the prodigious producer and MC undertook as he gave up-and-coming young musicians such as Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk the leg up they needed to hit it big.

An incredibly diverse artist, Wiley has worked with musicians including Hot Chip, Riton, Jay Sean and Speech Debelle, while his own music moves through grime and hip hop to dance and rave.

Now one of the most in-demand producers in the UK, he is heading out for his own tour in 2012 giving his fans the chance to see the living legend.

Wiley performs at the Edinburgh HMV Picturehouse on Wednesday January 25th. Tickets cost £12 plus booking fee and doors open at 7pm.
