Newcastle Restaurant Week offers diners a feast of choice
People staying in Newcastle hotels during January should start licking their lips as the city’s third ever Restaurant Week is ready to plate up some amazing dishes at bargain prices.
Dieters' New Year's resolutions may have to be put on hold, when a host of the city's top restaurants all offering diners the chance to eat for just £10.
Restaurants taking part in the festival of food include the 21 Group chain of eateries, without doubt the most celebrated in the city run by the only chef to win a Michelin star in Newcastle, Terry Laybourne
Also taking part is the highly-rated Blackfriars, which housed in a 13th century friars building, stakes a legitimate claim for the oldest dining room in Britain.
Among other restaurants involved are Oak, Babucho and the Indian restaurant Spice Cube.
Booking early is essential as there are limited places available and the incredible prices always prove popular.
Newcastle Restaurant Week 2012 runs from Monday January 23rd until Sunday January 29th.
