New dark comedy hits the Live Theatre stage

The Live Theatre is constantly piloting the fresh plays of great new writers, and in Nativities people staying in Newcastle hostels have the chance to see a fantastic dark comedy which is surely destined for big things.

Directed by Max Roberts, Zoe Robert's Nativities is set in the world of ordinary office politics, complete with officially sanctioned smoking areas, HR diplomacy and the swift after-work print.

When Stella begins her new job at the office she is initially thrilled to bits, keen to make friends and begin a new chapter in her life.

The best thing for Stella is that all of her new co-workers take a shining to her, and when they find out she has a bun in the oven they are over the moon for her.

But as Stella's bump grows, what the office new about life, love, relationships and parenting all begins to fall apart.

Nativities runs at the Live Theatre from February 14th until March 3rd. Tickets cost between £10 and £18.
