The Wu-Tang's GZA grabs the Mic at the arches

Hip hop fans are heading to hostels in Glasgow after one of the most respected MCs of all time confirmed his appearance at the city's Arches venue.

GZA is one of the founding members of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan, having helped create the group alongside his cousins RZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard.

Having found success as a solo artist as well as a member of Wu-Tang, the artist who has in the past performed under the pseudonym The Genius, has recently released a new album.

A follow up to his sophomore LP Liquid Swords, Liquid Swords 2: The Return of the Shadowboxer is GZA's seventh solo album.

Now aged 45, GZA is showing no signs of wanting to hang up the mic, and the New Yorker from Brooklyn is heading to the UK for what promises to be a riotous tour.

GZA performs at the Arches in Glasgow on Monday February 13th. Tickets cost £16 plus booking fee and doors open at 7pm
