Field Music launch fourth album with gig at The Cluny

When Field Music unveil their fourth album at The Club in February it is sure to be a momentous gig that will see them play all of their new material and quite a bit of their old, perfect for anyone staying in hostels in Newcastle looking for an evening of music.

If you haven't heard of them, don't let that put you off.

The Sunderland siblings are so notorious in the north-east music scene that it is quite a surprise that they haven't followed in the footsteps of the likes of Maximo Park and The Futureheads to become megastars.

Their latest album Plumb brings 15 tracks together in a compact 35 minutes, doing away with traditional songwriting conventions for a more fragmented and modular style of music that goes back to their surrealist roots.

Support on the night comes from Deerhart.

Field Music play at The Cluny on Friday February 10th and doors open at 8pm.
