Imogen Heap brings her stunning voice to the Sage Gateshead

Imogen Heap is perhaps best known for her haunting vocals and melodically understated pop songs so it will be an interesting show when she brings her vocal talents to the Sage Gateshead for an altogether different kind of concert in front of Newcastle hostel guests.

Having shot to international fame when her track Hide And Seek was featured in the closing credits of US television series The OC, Heap is heading to The Sage for an alternative performance.

Under the immense roof of the iconic Sage Gateshead, the Grammy Award-winning singer will provide a stunning a cappella soundtrack to the surrealist French film The Sea and the Clergyman (1928).

The English singer will perform with members of the celebrated choir the Holst Singers as well as a choir from The Sage.

Supporting Imogen on the evening will be Ana Silvera, the starlet singing her own original songs alongside the Estonian Television Girls Choir.

Imogen Heap performs at the Sage Gateshead on February 27th. Tickets cost between £17.50 and £19.50 and doors open at 7.30pm.
