Sculpture exhibition showcases works from Rodin to Hirst

A fantastic array of sculptures are currently on display at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, giving people staying in hostels in Edinburgh the chance to soak up some culture at this fantastic exhibition.

Showcasing pioneering sculptures from a range of world-class artists, the entire gallery has been devoted to the medium for the show that runs until June.

Works from impressionist masters Rodin and Degas stand side-by-side with modern pieces by the likes of Damien Hirst and the Turner Prize-nominated Karla Black.

Sculpture by last year's winner Martin Boyce is also present at the exhibition, while the cornerstone of the event is undoubtedly the staggering work A Girl by Ron Mueck, which has returned to the gallery following a world tour of other galleries.

The Sculpture Show runs at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art until June 24th. Entrance is free and the gallery is open seven days a week from 10am until 5pm (7pm on Wednesdays).
