Beth Jeans Houghton galloping to the Captain's Rest

With the release of her debut album imminent, Beth Jeans Houghton will be galloping with the Hooves of Destiny to the Captain's Rest for a gig in front of people staying in Glasgow hostels.

Beth experienced a formidable rise to stardom last year, going from relative obscurity to household name in an incredibly short space of time. She is now rumoured to be dating Red Hot Chilli Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis.

Having supported the likes of Bon Iver, Imogen Heap and Mumford and Sons, the singer-songwriter from Newcastle upon Tyne has been garnering fans aplenty and tickets for her show in Glasgow are sure to be in hot demand.

Her trademark hauntingly soothing vocals have been reaping her plaudits for some time now and the launch of the album Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose in February is sure to catapult her into the big time.

Beth Jeans Houghton and the Hooves of Destiny play at the Captain's Rest in Glasgow on Friday February 17th. Doors open at 8pm.

Support on the night comes from Goodnight Lenin.
