Graham Coxon ends up in Edinburgh A+E

Former Blur guitarist Graham Coxon will be hoping for an accident free evening when he brings his A+E tour to the Liquid Rooms for a gig in front of people staying in Glasgow hostels.

Having been responsible for writing much of Blur's material alongside Damon Albarn, Coxon left the band following a falling out with other members but rejoined them for a tour in 2009.

The 42-year-old musician and artist has enjoyed a successful solo career since leaving Blur and the release of A+E on April 2nd this year will mark the launch of his eighth album.

Taking the new album on tour, the multi-instrumentalist who is also a recognised painter will visit venues across the country, stopping off in Edinburgh's Liquid Rooms along the way.

To give the tour an extra dimension, Coxon is curating the line-up for each date himself, inviting nominations for who should support him in each city he visits.

Graham Coxon plays at the Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh on Monday April 17th. Tickets cost £16.50 plus booking fee.
