The Great Scottish Run is now accepting entrants

Runners applying to take part in The Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run in September have still got time to book hostels in Glasgow.

Applications are now open for one of the biggest events in the Scottish race calendar, with the entrance price frozen for the second year running.

The run takes place in Glasgow on September 2nd and if participation is confirmed before June 22nd runners can take advantage of an early bird deal that gets them entry from as little as £20.

Starting at St Vincent Street, there are two distances that participants can run: a 10km and a half marathon.

Both runs finish with a run across the River Clyde before finishing in Glasgow Green, while for those who don't feel up to running, the race organisers are also encouraging walkers to enter this year.

Visit the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run website for more details and to sign up.
