Miles Kane heading to the Barrowland Ballroom

Miles Kane is heading past Glasgow hostels on his way to a gig at the Barrowland Ballroom.

One of the city's premier live music venues, Barrowland is the perfect location for Kane to play his distinct brand of indie rock.

Last year, he released his eagerly awaited first solo album Colour of the Trap on Columbia Records after his first three singles had created quite a following for him.

Propelled to fame as the frontman of Liverpool band The Rascals, Kane left the band in 2009 to focus on his solo career and his side project, The Last Shadow Puppets.

The 25-year-old is close friends with Arctic Monkeys lead singer Alex Turner and they created TLSP together, though after a debut album it seems to have been put on the back-burner following Kane's rise to prominence as a solo artist.

Miles Kane plays at the Barrowland Ballroom, 244 Gallowgate, Glasgow on Saturday April 21st. Tickets cost £15 plus booking fee and doors open at 7pm.
