Dream Theatre bring metal spectacular to Glasgow SECC

Metal fans will need to book into Glasgow hostels to recover after rocking out to one of the world's biggest progressive rock bands.

Dream Theatre will be bringing their unique brand of metal to the city's SECC venue on February 8th, with tickets still available for the show.

The US band are touring the UK for the first time with their new drummer Mike Mangini taking up percussive duties, after previously working with guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and holding a world record for the fastest drum roll.

They're touring in support of their 11th studio album A Dramatic Turn of Events, which features the single On the Back of Angels.

Some of their classic tracks include A Change of Season, In the Name of God, Constant Motion and As I Am.

The band, who have been playing together since 1985 and only broke up the original trio when former drummer Mike Portnoy left after 25 years in 2010, have amassed a legion of fans and sold over 12 million albums worldwide.
