General Fiasco playing in Newcastle

General Fiasco will be looking to build on the success of their tours with several high profile bands in recent years, by performing at the O2 Academy2 Newcastle venue.

The indie three-piece from South Derry have seen their star status take off since performing at the BBC Electric Proms in 2009, and have toured with the likes of The Wombats, the Enemy and Snow Patrol.

On February 21st, they'll be playing at the venue and fans may want to book into Newcastle hostels if they're coming in from outside of the city.

The gig was previously scheduled to take place at The Riverside, but was moved to the O2 Academy2 Newcastle.

General Fiasco are currently touring in support of their upcoming second album, which has yet to be announced, but is likely to feature the recent singles That Age You Start Losing Friends, Waves and Don't You Ever.

Since releasing their first album Buildings in 2010, the band have amassed a cult following across the UK. Their hit singles Something Sometime and Ever So Shy reached number two and number five respectively upon their release.
