Metro Radio Arena hosting Zumbathon world record attempt

More used to hosting the world's biggest bands, the Metro Radio Arena is preparing to host potentially the world's biggest Zumbathon – giving guests of hostels in Newcastle the chance to get into the Guinness Book of Records.

With the Zumba dance workout no longer a craze but a regular class at gyms across the UK, it is about time it had its own world record.

In light of this, the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle will bring thousands of people together for the ultimate keep fit experience in an attempt to enter the record books for the biggest-ever Zumbathon.

What's more, all profits made at the event will go towards Metro Radio's charity Cash for Kids that will help support north-east children who are disadvantaged or disabled.

The World Record Attempt Zumbathon takes place on Sunday March 4th between 2pm and 4pm and entrance costs £10.

If you'd like to take part all you have to do is register online at metroradio.co.uk/zumba and then get on the sponsorship trail in a bid to raise as much for the good cause as possible.
