Osmosis Wins Glasgow Bar Award

As a part of Euro Hostels ongoing commitment to always exceed the customers' expectations, and to provide the best possible service and safety standards, our Osmosis Bar has been recognised as one of the top bars in the city.

With over 400 bars vying for the awards, and over 3000 bars in the city, Osmosis Manager James Kelly was over the moon to be one of the best 35 bars in the city. "We take the comfort and safety of our customers very seriously. This award shows we are on the right track and is a huge pat on the back for the staff here at Osmosis".

"With so many bars to choose from in Glasgow, these awards help Euro Hostel guests make up their mind as to what is a quality bar to visit", he said, "and it's in their hostel!".

Having only joined the Best Bar None scheme in May this year, Osmosis skipped straight past the Bronze Award and into the Silver position with what seems like relative ease.

"We have always promoted sensible drinking in Osmosis. Our friendly staff and high service standards ensure that everybody that walks in the door are treated with respect. We pride ourselves on our fantastic service".

So now what? "We're going to have our own party for a change. A sensible one of course", said James.

A total of 80 premises in Glasgow were given gold, silver or bronze awards at the City Chambers ceremony by MSP Pauline McNeill and Chief Inspector Alan Spence.

The awards are a partnership between Glasgow Community and Safety Services, Strathclyde Police, Scottish Late Night Operators Association, Scottish Licensed Trade Association and Glasgow City Centre Alcohol Action Group and sponsored by drinks manufacturer Diageo.
