Newcastle Speedway

The Newcastle Diamonds are household names around these parts and deservedly so. Newcastle's Premier League Speedway team, they have a long and illustrious history with some great results; like coming first in the league just 5-years ago.

Because the track is so close to town, crowds are always big when the Diamonds race. A bar and restaurant right on the straight with behind-glass viewing makes for a great night out.

When: Sundays. Tapes up at 6.30pm

Where: Newcastle Stadium, Fossway, Byker NE6 2XJ.

How: Regular buses from Central Station or a £5 trip in a cab.
